ChannelNet Website

Overview & Goals

ChannelNet is a marketing/software company with multiple digital products and services. Their website was several years old and looked dated.

Goals:

  • Establish new brand styling - define typography, use of photography and color
  • Create visual representations of the company's solutions and reduce written descriptions

My Role

  • In-house team, working with one other designer for initial research and brand styling
  • High-level art direction from the Chief Experience Officer (CXO)
  • Sole designer during final comp and development phase - worked with dev and QA to provide creative reviews, cut assets, and do some light HTML/CSS

Process

We researched current design trends and discussed the big picture with the CXO. With a loose style goal, the design team worked individually on homepage designs before combining the best ideas into one design. Below are a few iterations I worked through.

Final Designs

The responsive website launched in early 2017. The entire site is ~23 pages. I created a comp for each page which was a collaborative effort between the CXO, second designer, and myself. Moving to the development phase, I worked closely with the dev/QA team to ensure the styling was correct. I did a bit of HTML in the WYSIs on the homepage when we got down to the wire.

The site received positive reviews from employees and clients alike.
